Beautiful, anon this brings peace and comfort in troubled times.
Thank you kindly.
these are a little funky.
but thank you.
there are beautiful Thanks you
they bring a lot of joy to my heart.
Nice thread. I’ll have some oc from my cathedral in the next day or two when I have a moment. Bump in the meantime.
We should have a thread where everybody visits their local cathedral, takes pictures and posts them.
I think it would be cool to demonstrate how religious artwork painted by lay people out of love for God is leagues better than "art" made by "professional" modernist painters.
I will take some pictures for all of us, next time I go to some Cathedrals.
YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play.
Also feel free to share some Catholic music.
it really lightens the spirit.
That last one was so ugly it became a meme in Italy a couple of years ago
his entire post had a sense of humor i thought
3rd one could be games workshop miniature
This is turning out to be a beautiful thread, Thank you to every one who has participated.
it really does bring some warmth, to my heart and soul in this depressive days.
Source on that one?
Sorry I’m on mobile, otherwise I would have more.
Everything would be more organized if I was on my desktop.
This is about 14 months of saved images from this board.
don't worry I greatly appreciate your sharing these images.
That’s all I have on me at the moment. Looking back I’m realizing that most of the images I posted I found on this forum more than six months ago. There used to be a really nice segment of cathodox anons that I don’t see here anymore.
i’m going to finish with these images because I’ve been having a spot of trouble recently.
Saint Michael the Archangel defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray. And do thou oh Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the demons the prowl about the earth seeking the ruin of souls.
I'm a Protestant and although I may have some disagreements with the catholic church, I would be a complete liar if I was to say your cathedrals and art wasn't beautiful. I shed a tear every time in Europe when the cucked governments tear one down in order to make room for some building for spawning degeneracy.
Its not only our cathedrals that they are destroying. They are after your churches too.
Soon both you and me will have to return to the catacombs. The persecutions are coming.
Europe will pay for this betrayal of the faith.
MFW they start digging priest holes
I'm going to sleep, keep it nice guys, Thanks you all for sharing your images.
This art is your legacy as a Christian, we were all united in one catholic Church about 1,500 years ago.
> we were all united in one catholic Church about 1,500 years ago
What did he mean by this? Are you talking about pre-Council of Chalcedon?
it's more than likely his sect is a direct branch off from the Lutheran schism, not some eastern sect nobody knows about
>, I would be a complete liar if I was to say your cathedrals and art wasn't beautiful.
This is also your cathedrals and art, anon. :) As the other anon mentioned, we were united not too long ago. You are always welcome in the Church and all of us here will always be happy to answer any questions you might have about the Church. Please don't hesitate to ask!
isn't that an orthodox cross though?
this one is bordering surrealism. And I love it since I believe that God is mathematics.
My photos are pretty unorganized on my mobile device, and I get a little excited sometimes.
I want to correct myself.
All can be expressed mathematically. If anything, mathematics is the language of God.
Sancte Michael Archangele,
defende nos in proelio;
contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium.
Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur:
tuque, Princeps militiae Caelestis,
satanam aliosque spiritus malignos,
qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo,
divina virtute in infernum detrude.
I'm wishing you all a Happy new year guys.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
i took the pics for you all today. it was cold.
“Wood joinery“ is a searchable term. “Stone joinery” is not.
well lad this looks stunning. The first photo goes to my wallpaper folder.
thanks a lot.
Definitely check this artist's site out, it's worth it :)
" In my religious drawings, I attempt to be faithful to the instructions of the Second Nicene Council, which stated that the composition of religious imagery is not the painter’s invention, but is approved by the law and tradition of the Catholic Church…. The tradition does not belong to the painter; the art alone is his. True arrangement and disposition belong to the holy fathers who established it. "
This is the absolute best. Thank you. Do you have any more anon?
Just click the link. Because of some reasons I only had his works in japanese style and only with angels. But there's much more on his site :D
Last pic, so good, thank you.
of course i had more, it's just my drive that is not organised …
Make me do the legwork? Very well then.

It's funny that protestants would make a statue of Luther
salt mine in Poland. The workers needed to pray.
You guys are really making me search to find new content for this thread. Could someone else keep it bumped? For a change.
Pope St Celestine V looks so comfy.
These may be a large enough file for a desktop.
Here's a better resolution version of the last one without the watermark
Math is not internally consistent, so no
I also have a lot of Catholic anime art but I'll better leave them out to prevent anti-anime shitposters from derailing the thread
You forgot one ….(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST)
why is this being allowed in this thread? It is not catholic and it is not art. if the mods continue to allow abuses like this to occur, the few users that are left here will head over to the excellent catholic subreddits. that is where everyone here has been going.
nice first post in this thread.
are you retarded or something, the mods are no superhumans, actually report the post. and then just hide it
can you post that catholic anime art in another thread please?
these are well known, but still
That's a nice statue, wish I wasn't a Christian so I could worship it.(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)
Can you call the orthodox churches “Catholic“? I thought it was acceptable, and if you were talking about Rome in particular you use the term “Roman Catholic”.
The nuns are laughing at how creative the Baptists are getting.
Sorry for the shitty camera work but here's some from Vienna
Can someone explain the first one here for me?
Awesome my Art Thread is still up.
My pc crashed and I had a lot of studying.
I'm glad I'm finally back thank you to every one that participated.
